Roberto Alonso is the musician, pedagogue, and academic behind MetaBow’s conceptualization and development. Our interface addresses the shortcomings that he has found in similar technology as an internationally acclaimed violinist over the past decade.
Peter Nelson specializes in 3D graphics and prototyping. A skilled digital artist, he has worked closely with top bow makers to make sure that our industrial designs are made with traditional craftspeople and players in mind, that they are sensitive to the finest bows and the finest players.
Dr Tychonas Michailidis is a Lecturer in Digital Media Technology at the School of Computing and Digital Technology. His research interests focus on human-computer interaction, gesture interaction, interactive systems, user experience, sensor technologies, electronic music performance and new media compositions. In particular, his research examines how vibrotactile and haptic feedback experience can advance interactive systems as well as how it can be used as a communication tool in the arts and real-world applications.

Electrical engineer specialized in sound and music computing. Experienced in several areas such as ICT, higher education, and software development. Interested in digital signal processing and music cognition.
